Mildred's Food Pantry - HoultonHoused in the basement of St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, Mildred's Food Pantry provides food to community members in need of assistance. Open every Tuesday and Thursday 8:30-10:30amWhen the pantry is open, walk-in to request food. If you are homebound, call 532-9122 to set up a time to pick-up food. Cross CafeOn Tuesday and Thursday mornings, in conjunction with the Food Pantry, the Cross Cafe provides free coffee, tea, snacks and fellowship to anyone interesting in coming visiting. The Cafe is located in the basement of St. Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church. In addition to refreshments, the Cafe has informational resources for individuals who may be experiencing a life crisis. To volunteer for the Cafe, contact Lynette Dobbs by calling the parish office at 207-532-2871. |

Bereavement MinistryBereavement Ministers provide a meal after a funeral to families grieving the loss of a loved one. They set up, cook, and clean-up so that families can take time to grieve. Visitation to the HomeboundSt. Mary's and St. Agnes have trained Eucharistic Ministers who bring Holy Eucharist (Communion) to parishioners who are homebound or hospitalized. To request a visit from a Eucharistic Minister, contact the parish office at 207-532-2871. |

St. Mary's Pro-Life Ministry & Meals for ParentsSt. Mary's Pro-Life Ministry is focused on providing resources and support that are not provided by other agencies for parents who are expecting a child; providing education and formation to parishioners about the need to protect life at all stages; and being a witness to the greater community for the value of human life at all stages, particularly by helping to planning and implement the 40 Days for Life Campaign in Houlton. Meals for Parents provides two weeks of suppers for families who recently had a baby and are in need of some support as they transition to life with a newborn. If your family is expecting a new baby, contact Clare Desrosiers to request meals. |

Community Thanksgiving DinnerA ministry sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, the Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is held on Thanksgiving Day from 12:00-2:00pm. The free dinner is for anyone who wants to share in this holiday with St. Mary's. Donations of food, money, and time are always accepted.
