Welcome to St. Mary of the Visitation, St. Agnes, & St. Paul!

Father David Raymonddeacon-al-burleigh

We are a relatively small cluster in number of families but quite large in geography.  We have approximately 800 registered families in our cluster.  However, the distance from North to south within our cluster is about 40 miles.   Our Catholic family extends from the southern limits of Central Aroostook County to Northern Penobscot County.

What defines us?…living the Gospel of Jesus and celebrating our faith through the sacramental life of the Catholic Church as a faith community.  We hope that this website will give you a snapshot of who we are, the beauty of the area where we live, our faith in Jesus Christ, our love of the Roman Catholic Church, and the way in which we live what we believe.

On behalf of Deacon Albert Burleigh, our Pastoral Council and the good people in Cluster 4, I welcome you to our website.  Cluster 4 comprises two parishes, St. Mary of the Visitation in Houlton, St. Agnes in Island Fall, plus the Mission of St. Paul in Patten.  We are located in beautiful Northern Maine amid the rolling meadows, potato and grain fields, punctuated by a spectacular view of Maine’s highest peak, Mt. Katahdin. We are one of the 29 clusters of parishes within the Diocese of Portland; the sole diocese in the State of Maine.
